A highly respected regional health system in Western Massachusetts is seeking a BE/BC Vascular Surgeon to join its expanding vascular program. This hospital-employed position offers a Vascular Hybrid OR, established vein center, and a primarily outpatient focus with limited inpatient responsibilities. Work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with access to advanced tech, teaching opportunities, and strong support from general surgery residents.
Base Salary: $497,000 (Regional Median). Quarterly Bonus Payouts for production above guaranteed salary. Full Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, retirement. Performance Bonus: Up to $17,500/year (based on patient experience). Quarterly Bonus Payouts for production above guaranteed salary. Sign-On Bonus: $45,000. Hospital Employee . Call Schedule: 1:3 with limited true emergencies (cold legs, clotted AVFs, ruptured AAAs). Teaching Opportunities: Work with General Surgery residents and medical students. Clinic: 10-15 patients per session (flexible based on personal productivity). Annual Volume: 550 vascular cases. Inpatient: Mostly limited to post-op patients and new consults from ER. General Surgery Residents help cover the inpatient service. Convenient Access: 2.5 hours to both Boston and NYC. Teaching Hospital: Affiliated with UMass Chan Medical School, UNECOM, Boston University. WRVU production incentives. Loan Forgiveness available. CME time and $4,500 available. Up to 7 weeks of PTO available.
