Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Surgical Technician for a hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. This full-time, dayshift position involves assisting the surgical team, handling instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.

A GED or higher is required with completion of a surgical technology program and BLS certification. Prior OR experience is preferred but not mandatory; safety sensitive position with standard healthcare facility expectations.

Definition

The Surgical Technician handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment utilized during the surgical procedure. The technologist must understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technician conveys instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assists the surgeon as necessary, and is responsible for maintenance of the sterile field.

This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Graduation from a surgical technology training program or related training and/or experience
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

Preferred Qualification

Previous Operating Room experience desired, especially in Orthopedics, but not mandatory.
