Position Summary

The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate scheduling of all oncology related surgical procedures and pre-admission testing appointments, in coordination with all other resource providers (i.e. Anesthesia); according to provider preferences, and patient condition.

  • The surgery scheduling coordinator position includes the ability to brainstorm with members of the JMCPG team, the OR team and related physicians to accommodate all departmental customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching. Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry. Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 20lbs.
