Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate operatives and maintain the OR schedule. You will gather clinical and insurance coding information and manage scheduling requests from physicians’ offices with precision and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Office experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical cases with patients, families, staff and providers.
• Interact with patients and staff to provide timely, accurate information.
• Monitor OR schedule and bed calendar to ensure census accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure proper documentation and coding for surgery schedules and insurance verification.
