Shift: Days 7:00am–5:30pm; Status: Full-time; Compensation: $36.00–$50.00 hourly. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR staff, performing patient assessment, safety checks, documentation, and education.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Care: Patient assessment & prep, review histories, verify allergies, meds and pre-admission results.
• Safety Protocols: Verify consent, planned procedure and site markers with guidelines.
• Clinical Interventions: Insert IVs, draw pre-op labs, administer pre-operative meds.
• Handoff: Communicate critical info to surgical/anesthesia teams and hand off to OR.
• Post-Operative PACU: Monitor vitals, assess recovery, manage pain/ nausea.
• Discharge readiness: Use recovery scores to determine discharge readiness.
• Education & Admin: Instruct on perioperative care, document in EHR, manage supplies.
