CHI St. Vincent North, part of CommonSpirit Health in Arkansas, seeks a surgery nurse to prepare patients for procedures and assist in the operating room, delivering expert nursing care when patients are most vulnerable.

You will review consent forms, perform preoperative assessments, ensure equipment readiness, and communicate with families about surgery status. You will directly assist the surgeon during operations and must stay focused under pressure while showing compassion.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of RN experience in acute care, upon hire.
• RN license for Arkansas upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 30 days.

Mansioni

• Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR.
• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our surgery nurse St. Vincent North, you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.

Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, make sure the equipment is ready to go, and update family members on the surgery status during the operation. You will be expected to directly assist the surgeon during the actual surgery.

To be successful in this role you must have the ability to maintain focus while multitasking, remain calm under pressure, and exercise good judgment in emergency situations.

We are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
• 1 year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment, upon hire and
• Registered Nurse: AR, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
