CHI St Vincent in Arkansas seeks a Medical Surgical Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic unit, with opportunities to advance education within specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, and emergency.

You will deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, using keen assessment and critical thinking to support clinical ladder opportunities and collaboration with a broad care-team.

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Nursing required at hire.
• Registered Nurse – AR license required at hire.
• 1 year of acute care experience required; residency program available for new grads.
• CPR (BLS) within 30 days; ACLS within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to assigned medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vitals, document accurately.
• Collaborate with social work, care coordination, PT/OT, labs, radiology.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI St Vincent, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

Keen assessment skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency support your career advancement and you thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment where you will rarely experience the same day twice.

• Deliver the best possible care to your set of assigned patients
• Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
• Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging

We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 depending on shift to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, and relocation assistance.

Job Requirements

• Associates Of Science Nursing, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: AR, upon hire and
• 1 year of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program) and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 12 - months
