Job description

Reconstructive Microsurgery Opportunity in Grand Rapids, MI

Position Details:

  1. Recruiting two new physicians to develop a Reconstructive Microsurgery section.
  2. Provide specialized care for patients needing breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, limb salvage, lymphedema care, and extended oncologic reconstruction.
  3. Ideal candidates should have fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery and be comfortable collaborating with fellowship-trained oncologic breast surgeons.
  4. Expected to also provide general plastic surgical care services.
  5. Participate in resident education and help facilitate resident learning in microsurgical competence.
  6. Academic appointment through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, with the potential to advance as Residency Associate Program Director - J1, H1 visa support.

Compensation Package: Malpractice insurance, health, dental, disability, and life insurance; paid time off for vacation, parental leave, illness, and CME; relocation allowance.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Board-eligible or Board-certified in Plastic Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Microsurgery
  • Eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
