Job summary

Froedtert South, Inc. Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin is seeking a Student Nurse Intern in Surgery to support the Perioperative Services Department and gain hands-on experience in clinical nursing operations.

The internship requires enrollment in a nursing program, BLS/CPR certification (or able to obtain within 90 days), and at least one semester of nursing education with clinical experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and/or CPR certification required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Must currently be enrolled in a nursing program.
• If not enrolled, position may be used for graduates within six months of graduation and not holding a temporary permit.
• Minimum of one semester of formal nursing education that includes at least one clinical semester and/or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency with department/unit skills list.
• Coordinates and administers basic nursing care using the nursing process.
