Job summary

A major healthcare provider in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Surgery Nurse to assist surgical teams and provide patient care in the operating room. This position requires a BSN, AZ RN license, and BLS certification, with a preference for candidates with acute care experience. The Surgery Nurse will develop care plans and ensure that operating rooms are equipped for surgeries. Qualifications

As our Surgery Nurse at SJHMC, you will work in our twelve-room OR suite which maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, enabling close relationships with patients and their families during difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
• Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
• Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
• Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
