We are seeking a Locum Tenens General Surgeon in Ohio.

Shift: 24-hour call (7a–7a); 5–7 days/month
Start Date: June 13, 2025
End Date: June 23, 2025 (additional dates TBD)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults (18+); pediatric/adolescent patients sent to nearby children’s hospital
Setting: Community hospital; hospital-based general surgery & Level III trauma call
Responsibilities: Inpatient general surgery, trauma consults, possible coordination with APPs from office practice
Required Procedures:
General surgical cases (adult & trauma)
Central line insertion
PA catheter placement
Chest tube insertion
Vascular access
Cholecystectomy
Hernioplasty
Appendectomies
Bowel resections
Trauma surgery for internal organ injuries
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Experienced OR staff; skilled in robotic and general surgical procedures
Days Per Month: ~5–7
On-Call/Weekends: Yes
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified – Required
BLS, ACLS, ATLS Certified – Required
Active OH License – Required (no IMLC)
Clean file – Required
Availability for all listed June dates – Required
Proximity to OH – Preferred
