Job description

Northwest Health - Porter, a 220 bed community-based acute care hospital within an hour of Chicago near the southern shore of Lake Michigan, has an opportunity for a General Surgeon. This position is full scope, bread & butter general surgery.

Details of the position include:

• 2 daVinci XI robots
• Clinic attached to hospital
• Clinic/OR schedule flexible - average 2 days clinic/3 OR or combination thereof
• Clinic procedures include, but not limited to: Hemorrhoid banding, I & D, pilonidal cysts, lipoma removals
• Collaborative hospitalist and intensivist teams
• Opportunity for GI screening and diagnostic endoscopy
• Joining a group of 3-4 general surgeons
• Strong office support staff to maximize efficiency
• Robust employed primary care network referral base
