This is a small, rural hospital where the General Surgeon will be primarily on solo coverage.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of General Surgery work experience is required; 5 years preferred.

Facility Details:

• No robotic surgery on site.
• Busy Emergency Room with approximately 18,000 visits per year.
• Trauma cases are rare; no multi-trauma cases are expected.
• Case mix includes bread and butter procedures such as gall bladder, hernia, and a high volume of upper and lower GI endoscopies (~100 per month) due to the absence of onsite GI specialists.

Patient Population:

• Patients aged 16 and older; no pediatric cases as there is no pediatrician onsite.

Additional Information:

• The Emergency Department is managed by an MD.
