Qualifications

- Perform general surgeries including breast surgery, colonoscopy, and trauma care.

Location: Coastal OR
Duration: 3-6+ months
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2 weeks per month
Shift: 8:30am-5pm for clinic and scheduled OR
Call: 8-10 days per month for 24-hour ED call. Also 8-10 back-up call days for a post-residency fellowship surgeon.
Patient volume: Approximately 20 patients per day in clinic. 45-50 cases per month, including EGD and colonoscopy.
Scope: General Surgery - Breast surgery & biopsy, colonoscopy, laparoscopic, endoscopy. The physician also needs to be able to handle a trauma. They need to be comfortable with running a trauma resuscitation and with stabilizing a trauma in the OR, also care for trauma patients in the ICU.
EMR: Cerner
Group/support: Support staff consists of a dedicated medical assistant each clinic day, we are in the process of replacing our clinic RN and a wound care RN. Our anesthesia providers are mostly CRNAs who have supported our organization for some time.
