Job description

Coverage:

General Surgery

Dates:

• Sept 5 am of Sept 12
• Oct 3 am of Oct 10
• Oct 31 am of Nov 7
• Nov 28 am of Dec 4

1 week per month needed.

Call Coverage:

6 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily, averaging 3-5 cases a day.

Patient Rounds:

Round on all surgery patients, approximately 1.5 hours in the morning and afternoon, focusing on patients on their service. Cases include appendectomies, colectomies, and others requiring GI experience. Must have Level IV trauma experience, some pediatric cases (8 years old and up), and perforations.

Consults:

3-5 ER consults per day, with an additional 10-15 phone consults daily.
