Job description

Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Surgeon/Trauma Surgeon. You will work in a collegial, multi-specialty group at a large regional referral center (424 beds) serving a ten-county area with a patient population of over 480,000. Our region offers diverse living options including small city, suburban, small town, and rural settings, with easy access to metropolitan areas such as Dayton, Toledo, Fort Wayne, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Detroit, all within a 1-2 hour interstate drive.

Opportunity Highlights:

1. Provide on-call coverage for Trauma Surgery, support ICU, and perform general surgery.
2. Maintain standards set by the ACS.
3. Perform general, robotic, and laparoscopic surgeries.
4. Follow current standards for acute surgical care and trauma treatment, aligned with Mercy Health St. Rita's mission.
5. Certifications: ATLS, BLS, ACLS, PALS.
6. Candidates should be BC/BE in General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, or Surgical Critical Care.
7. Level II Trauma Center, located in a region with significant industrial and agricultural activity. Interstate I-75 is 4 miles away, contributing to MVA-related injuries.
8. Main OR has 12 suites and 4 Ambulatory OR suites.
9. Equipped with 4 DaVinci Robots.
10. Offering a generous base salary, moving allowance, and excellent benefits, including initial salary guarantee, relocation assistance, medical school loan repayment, CME allowance of $10,000 annually, malpractice insurance, and retirement plans (403b and 457f).
11. Current call schedule: 1:4.
