Job description

Locums General Surgery - Clinton, North Carolina

Reason: Coverage for surgeon vacation

Setting: hospital inpatient

Start Date: March 2, 2022

End Date: March 4, 2022

Schedule: Call only (beeper), 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm

Responsibilities:

• Bread and Butter Surgery: Hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, lumps and bumps, abscess drainage, endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy), appendectomy, small bowel and colon surgery.

Qualifications:

• Must have a clean background; NO recent or open malpractice cases.
• Malpractice or disciplinary information must be provided before consideration.
• Board Certification required.
• Must be NC Medicaid credentialed.
• Active NC license and NC DEA (with NC address).

Additional Details:

• Surgeon will be provided hospital-owned individual apartments onsite, which are very nice, clean, with cable and Wi-Fi.
• Travel expenses capped at $500, including airfare, rental car, or mileage (not both).
• Call type: physician on-call for services, within 20 minutes of the facility, as per bylaws.
• Preferred housing is on-site in hospital-owned apartments.
• EMR: Meditech 6.1.
• Need 4-6 hours gratis daily; preference for bulked gratis hours.
