Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician Opportunity in Atlantic City, NJ

Join a renowned hospital-based facility in Atlantic City, New Jersey, which serves as a level 2 trauma center. The practice focuses on providing comprehensive orthopedic surgical care, with a commitment to the local indigent population through specialized clinics. The facility offers robust support with 7 operating rooms and a dedicated team of orthopedic specialists.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 coverage from June 15 to August 15, including in-house shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM and call from 5 PM to 7 AM.
• Deliver intermittent coverage from August 15 to September 10, focusing on weekends, call, and day shifts.
• Handle average surgical cases of 3-5 per day in the hospital setting.
• Conduct one half day per week in an orthopedic clinic, catering to an average of 6 patients.
• Manage an estimated call schedule of 10 to 14 days per month, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Collaborate with a team of 10 orthopedic surgeons in private practice.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (required).
• Active New Jersey medical license (required).
• Experience working in a trauma center and familiarity with adult and geriatric orthopedic surgical cases.
• Ability to perform general orthopedic trauma care and total joint replacements.

License and Certification Requirements:

• New Jersey medical license is mandatory.
• Current BLS certification at time of credentialing.
