Job summary

HCA South Tampa General Surgery is seeking an experienced Fulltime NP/PA to support 1 General Surgeon. The role includes inpatient and outpatient coverage, potential first assist duties, and collaboration with a strong support staff in a 183-bed acute care hospital.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary with bonuses, comprehensive benefits, employer matching 401k, CME and dues allowance, and the potential for a commencement bonus. Some remote call via telephone is possible.

Qualifications

• Board Certified PA/NP
• Experienced candidate preferred
• First Assist experience preferred
• Surgical skills are a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Inpatient and Outpatient
• Some call (via telephone only remotely)

Responsibilities

• Support 1 General Surgeon and provide NP/PA coverage as needed
• Assist in general surgical procedures as applicable
• Coordinate patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Maintain clear communication with surgical team and staff
