The role involves working with experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff at Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat (WAHPR) in a state-of-the-art hybrid facility, with a 9,000 square-foot space and advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties and prescribing medications with protocol adherence.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds to ensure high standards.
