Job summary

Mission Health is seeking an experienced, board-certified and fellowship-trained surgical oncologist to join our busy surgical oncology team in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have CGSO fellowship training, be board-certified in general surgery (or CGSO board-eligible/certified), and bring a minimum of 3 years of practice.

The role offers access to 7 da Vinci robotic systems, 2–3 OR days and 1–2 clinic days weekly, with competitive MGMA-based compensation and comprehensive

• 3+ years of practice ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical oncology services as part of a busy team.
• Perform 2–3 OR days per week.

• Share on-call with group; no EGS or ER; residents/APPs take first call.

Job Summary

Mission Health is seeking an experienced, board certified, and fellowship trained, surgical oncologist, to join our busy and expanding surgical specialists’ team in Asheville, North Carolina.

Qualified Candidates

• Fellowship trained in complex general surgical oncology (CGSO)


• Board certified in general surgery; board eligible/board certified in complex general surgical oncology (CGSO)


• Practicing physicians preferred; minimum three (3) years’ experience ideal


• Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Position Highlights

• Mission Surgery is comprised of five (5) surgical specialists and four (4) advanced practice providers, focusing on all areas of general surgery


• Subspecialties include MIS, colorectal and hepatobiliary


• Seven (7) dedicated da Vinci Robotic surgical systems


• 2-3 OR days per week


• 1-2 Clinic days per week


• Call - Group Only; no EGS; No ER; Residents or APPs take 1st call
