Job Description

The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position (Assistant to Full Professor ranks). The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and/or medical student educational initiatives and will direct a highly productive and collaborative research program supported by significant extramural funding.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in physiology, pharmacology, or related fields.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

• Securing significant extramural funding.
• The ability to integrate molecular and cellular approaches and apply basic findings to impact human health in an effective "discovery-to-care continuum."
• Contributing to a culture of innovation.
• Providing expertise that expands School of Medicine-wide initiatives in vascular biology, cardiac myocyte biology, and tissue repair research.
• Expertise in computational modeling and understanding how inflammation, diabetes, cancer, aging, gut microbiome, or gender influences the cardiovascular system.
