Job description

We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens weekend call and PTO coverage. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled surgeon looking to support a high-quality regional health system with a robust adult and geriatric surgical population.

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for adult and geriatric cardiac and thoracic cases.

• Perform emergent and elective procedures, including:

  • CABG

  • Heart valve repair/replacement

  • Aortic dissection management

  • Tube thoracostomy

  • Pericardial window

  • Thoracotomy and lung resections

  • Pneumonectomy

  • VA and VV ECMO placement

• Collaborate with a team of 4 advanced practitioners who rotate to support OR coverage.

• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and communication.
  

  • Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Required

  • Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency and CT fellowship Required

  • Active Idaho medical license or IMLC license with LOQ Required

  • ACLS Certification Required

  • DEA Required

  • Clean malpractice and background Required
    

    • Shift Type: 24-hour call (7 AM 7 AM)

    • Call Type: In-hospital and phone consults (includes gratis hours)

    • Holiday Call: 1.5x pay rate

    • Medical diploma, training certifications

    • All active medical licenses & DEA

    • ACLS & BLS cards

    • Case logs & CME (past 2 years)

    • Immunization records (TB, COVID, Flu, HepB, Tdap, Varicella)
