Job description

This hospital system is seeking a BE/BC fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join our 15-surgeon general surgery group, including dedicated specialists in bariatric, colorectal, surgical oncology, and trauma/critical care.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform broad-based general surgery procedures and all procedures related to breast surgery.
2. Focus on 80% breast surgery, utilizing intra-operative x-ray, in-office ultrasound, and in-house breast center with Aurora Breast MRI and automated whole breast ultrasound.
3. Use advanced techniques such as Savi Scout partial breast radiation and indocyanine green for sentinel node detection and flap vascularization.
4. Provide outpatient general surgery and be on call for acute cases.
5. Share call responsibilities equally, with Q6/7 weekday/weekend call schedule, collaborating with a colorectal and trauma surgeon partner.

Practice environment:

• Surgeons cover a large referral hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• The group is the sole general surgery provider at the hospital, with low turnover and a surgeon-led structure.
• Expect an active schedule with 12-17 surgeries weekly.
