OSF HealthCare in Bloomington, IL is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join our General Surgery team, supporting inpatient and clinical operations in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include pre-op evaluations, post-op management, discharge planning, wound care, and coordinating care with surgeons and nurses. Requirements include IL licensure as an APN or PA, BLS/ACLS, ACNP for APNs, and 2+ years in surgery or critical care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to provide APN services or PA services in Illinois.
• Licensed to prescribe narcotics if applicable.
• BLS/ACLS Certified.
• Eligible to participate in Medicare/Medicaid and federal programs.
• ACNP certification is required for APNs.
• 2+ years of surgery or critical care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Pre-op evaluations and preparation for surgery, post-op patient management, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
• Evaluate and manage routine and complex post-op issues, including wound care and pain management.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and specialty consultations.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing, case management, and other services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical support, including follow-up visits and education.
• 8-hour day shifts.
