Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join the Surgery & Anesthesia team at Denver Veterinary Specialists - Wash Park. You will work with board-certified surgeons and a specialty team to manage high-acuity cases and provide top-tier perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery and anesthesia.
• Specialty hospital experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience managing anesthesia for ASA III and higher-risk patients.
• Proficient in anesthetic induction, intubation, monitoring and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV catheter placement, pre-anesthetic preparation, and medication administration.
• Induce, intubate, and monitor anesthesia for surgical procedures.
• Continuously monitor anesthetic depth and vital parameters throughout procedures.
• Assist with surgical preparation, patient positioning, and maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
• Provide attentive post-operative recovery monitoring and pain assessment.
• Operate and maintain anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and surgical instruments.
• Accurately document anesthesia records and perioperative care.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and the specialty team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
