PetVet Care Centers’ Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Surgery & Anesthesia Department Manager to lead technical staff and supervise department scheduling and patient care. The role emphasizes standards for anesthesia and surgical management, with a focus on mentoring team members and maintaining high clinical performance.

The ideal candidate will have an active RVT license (Maryland eligible), 2+ years as a credentialed veterinary technician, and proven leadership.

Qualificações

• Active veterinary technician license (RVT, LVT, CVT or equivalent) with eligibility for Maryland licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician in a progressive practice.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting.
• Proven track record of team development and mentorship.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop technicians and medical staff with regular performance evaluations and feedback.
• Manage hiring decisions, performance management, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Implement and enforce hospital policies while introducing new practices and protocols.
• Oversee scheduling, on-call rotations, inventory, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness to ensure quality care.
