Job summary

Asante in Grants Pass, OR is seeking a dedicated Surgery Aide to maintain a clean, safe operating environment under RN supervision. The role focuses on OR turnover, supply stocking, and patient transport between areas.

You will assist with patient handling, demonstrate proper body mechanics, respond to emergencies, and verify patient identity before transport. Qualifications include a HS diploma and prior team experience; BLS required; CNA/EMT or CSCT preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a team environment preferred.
• Surgery or orderly aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to and from the Operating Room (OR).
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics and safe patient positioning and moving.
• Respond to emergencies within the department and obtain necessary equipment.
• Identify the patient by checking the armband prior to transport.
