Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced OR Tech/Surg Tech with CVOR expertise for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, WV. You will scrub and circulate CVOR cases, document equipment usage, and support surgical teams.

Requirements include at least 2 years CVOR experience, WV or Compact OR Tech license, NBSTSA certification, and BLS. On-call rotations, travel reimbursement and housing options are provided.

Qualifications

• CVOR experience in cardiovascular surgeries.
• 2+ years OR Tech/Surg Tech experience with CVOR focus.
• Active WV or Compact OR Tech license required, NBSTSA certification.
• Basic life support certification required; general/endovascular/thoracic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Document equipment usage and ensure sterile field.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and travel personnel.
• Participate in on-call rotations and cover shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with surgical standards and documentation.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with on-call requirements. Occasional weeknight call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and weekend call covering 1 weekend per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OR Tech/Surg Tech with specialized expertise in Cardiovascular (CV) Surgery. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in CVOR and be well-versed in scrub, circulate, and equipment documentation for a variety of cardiac cases. Responsibilities include supporting surgical teams during procedures and ensuring compliance with surgical standards.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgeries, particularly cardiovascular cases.
• Document equipment usage and ensure the surgical environment is prepared and sterile.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and travel personnel.
• Participate in on-call rotations and cover shifts as needed.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of OR Tech/Surg Tech experience, with a focus on CVOR.
• Active West Virginia (WV) or Compact OR Tech License required (pending license accepted for submission).
• National certification through NBSTSA required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in general, endo/laparoscopic, and thoracic surgeries preferred.
