Scope and Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to tray up, tape, and de-block surfaced lenses to provide optical clarity according to work instructions.

Essential Functions

1. Prioritize job flow according to the color code system.
2. Place lenses in the correct tray location and load onto the conveyor belt.
3. Manually tape lenses as required.
4. De-block lenses using lens rings and return laps on the return conveyor.
5. Initial the surface equipment verification log to confirm machine validation.
6. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation.
7. Practice and comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS), safety procedures, and hazardous waste regulations.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred.

Competencies

• Ability to read and understand written procedures and warnings in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Logical thinking following procedures and instructions.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Physical ability to stand, handle, feel, and lift up to 20 pounds; moderate noise level in the work environment.
