Job summary

Boart Longyear is seeking a Surface RC Driller Assistant to learn the trade on-site in the Nevada/Intermountain region. You will support drilling crews, operate basic equipment, and participate in safety and training programs to advance from Driller Assistant to Driller and beyond. Expect 12–20 day work blocks, with 7–10 days off, overtime opportunities, and company-paid PPE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willing to travel by plane or car to sites across NV, UT, AZ, CO and other states.
• Must pass background and drug screening; must pass a Physical Functional Fitness Evaluation.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide semi-skilled labor for drilling crews, operating various vehicles and equipment.
• Haul supplies to and from drill sites and assist in rigging up/down and moving to new locations.
• Collect samples, label bags/cores and maintain correct numeric order.
• Maintain site equipment, perform inspections, and manage basic inventory.
• Mentor or train new drillers when assigned.
