Job summary

Arcosa Traffic Structures in Florida is seeking a Product Surface Prep to join our team. The role focuses on grinding and preparing burn parts, providing skilled assistance in the assigned area, and performing general manual labor in a manufacturing environment.

We seek candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience, a basic understanding of manufacturing settings, good attendance, and the ability to tolerate high/low temperatures and loud plant noises.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing work environment.
• The ability to maintain good attendance.
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Grinding – remove scale from burn parts.
• Provide skilled assistance in assigned area.
• Train for additional skills.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• May assist skilled workers involved in fabricating, welding, assembling, installing, and processing by a variety of functions such as sorting and counting, feeding, and unloading parts, sweeping, cleaning, rough painting, and other manual labor tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
