Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Surface Preparation Machine Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair surface preparation equipment. This role is essential to reducing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining productivity and safety standards.

You will diagnose and repair systems on floor scrapers, grinders, shot blasters, and related equipment, using testing equipment and manufacturers’ manuals. Collaboration with store staff and scheduling of service is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with surface preparation equipment such as floor scrapers, grinders, and shot blasters.
• Basic automotive knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and use testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair surface preparation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all systems and components of equipment.
• Meet or exceed service department quality and productivity goals.
• Take instruction from supervisors and work with other service department and store staff.
• Create service orders for equipment coming in for repair and schedule service with customers.
• Order parts and coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas.
