We are seeking a Surface Plate Calibration Technician to join our Field Services team. This position is responsible for performing on-site calibration and lapping of surface plates for customers across Southern Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration and lapping of granite surface plates to meet industry standards
• Use precision instruments to measure flatness and ensure compliance
• Travel to customer sites within the assigned territory to provide on-site service
• Maintain detailed documentation of calibrations and service reports
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support
• Ensure compliance with ISO and company standards

Requirements:

• Experience in surface plate calibration and lapping is required
• Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques
• Ability to travel extensively within the region
• Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A valid driver's license and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment
