This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (Title 32), Position Description Number D1194000, and is part of the AR ARNG FLD MAINT SHOP 6, National Guard.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Eligible applicants should contact a recruiter prior to applying. Must possess or initiate a NACI background check, complete pre-placement physical, and attend Full-Time Support training within six months if selected. Must meet all military requirements without creating grade inversion. Enlisted members higher than the maximum grade may apply but must reduce prior to appointment.
General Experience: Knowledge of equipment, routine jobs, preventative maintenance, and use of tools.
Specialized Experience: Thorough knowledge of complex systems, ability to diagnose and repair various vehicles and equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems. Ability to overhaul major components like engines, transmissions, and fuel systems.
