Job Title: Surface I & E Technician

Reports To: Surface Electrical Supervisor

Location: New Mexico – East Plant

Overview
An Instrumentation & Electrical (I & E) Technician is primarily responsible for installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process instrumentation at surface operations. This position requires attention to detail, a safety-conscious mindset, and problem-solving skills to fix issues.

Job Duties

• Execute day-to-day maintenance work orders associated with surface facility operations
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and systems, including drive and control systems, conduit wire, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, and motors
• Assist with maintaining PLC/DCS hardware and install switches
• Perform pre-shift inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently, reporting hazards to personnel
• Analyze, document, install, check out, debug, and control costs of assigned projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum two (2) years of electrical experience
• Ability to interpret instructions, blueprints, and manuals
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
• Availability for call-outs in a 24/7 operation

Schedule & Work Environment
9/80 schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9-hour days; Fridays worked, 8-hour days, every other Friday off. Employees may need to respond to call-outs or overtime. Schedule may change.

• Outdoor, non-temperature-controlled environment, weather conditions apply
• Exposure to loud noise, PPE required

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, sitting, visual inspections, manual dexterity, twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, grasping
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling 50 lbs
• Climbing stairs/ladders, working at heights, perceiving color differences
• Wearing PPE and engaging in strenuous activity

Pre-placement physical and drug test required; employment contingent on clearance.
