Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience.
• Responsible for proper wheel selection for grinding new jobs.
• Set up NC grinding machines when needed.
• Dress forms onto grinding wheels.
• Grind graphite electrodes for EDM machining.
• Work and train under a senior tool maker when needed.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts, holding tolerances of ±0.0002 inches.
• Use indicators, gage blocks, and other precision tools for close tolerance work.
• Complete job assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work environment and assist in machine maintenance.
• Disassemble, clean, and assist in assembly when required.

Other duties may be required based on shop load.
