Job Purpose

We are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as an Automotive Ceramic Coatings and Surface Enhancement Specialist. This role is responsible for the meticulous correction and enhancement of vehicle surfaces, and the application of ceramic coatings and other advanced surface protection treatments, ensuring precision and long-term durability.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical skill, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship. Through expert craftsmanship and product knowledge, the Ceramic Coatings and Surface Enhancement Specialist plays a key role in customer satisfaction and the overall success of the installation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply ceramic coatings and other surface protection treatments to automotive exteriors and interiors, ensuring flawless, high-quality results that meet company standards.
  • Perform extensive surface preparation, including buffing, polishing, wet sanding, and decontamination to achieve near-perfect surface conditions before coating application.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after application, identifying and addressing any potential issues to ensure optimal coating performance.
  • Handle all customer vehicles with care, ensuring they are returned in the same or better condition than when received.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of ceramic coatings and provide clear post-application care instructions to maximize the longevity of the product.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and in optimal condition.
  • Adhere to project deadlines, completing coating applications efficiently while maintaining the highest level of precision and craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to maintain workflow efficiency, uphold service expectations, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Stay updated on industry techniques, tools, and products through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in ceramic coatings, paint correction, high-end automotive detailing, or a related field preferred but not required. Training is available for the right candidate.
  • Experience with surface preparation techniques such as buffing, polishing, wet sanding, and decontamination is a plus.
Skills:
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise application.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability when working with different vehicle surfaces and coatings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with fellow technicians and service advisors.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while maintaining a team-first mindset.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in physically demanding positions such as bending, reaching, and maneuvering around vehicles.
  • Strong upper body endurance to operate buffers, polishers, and applicators for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working with hands and small tools for precise applications.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials as needed, including polishing equipment, coating products, and other application tools.
Other:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may require occasional off-site jobs; mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Willingness to undergo training and certification as needed.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
