Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Surety industry as Risk Advisor or underwriter.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Strong financial literacy and sharp negotiation skills.
• Clear, effective communicator with teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure new surety accounts through networking with construction-oriented accounting firms and CPAs.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors and commercial surety clients to manage bonding needs.
• Review financial statements, WIP reports, and credit histories to assess bonding capacity.
• Present account submissions to surety companies and negotiate terms and bond capacity.
• Engage with local construction market groups (ABC, AGC, CFMA) and collaborate across teams.
