Entergy is seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee direct reports and provide guidance, training, and supervision for safe, reliable boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations. The role focuses on meeting load dispatch requirements and maintaining adherence to all start-up and shut-down procedures.
The candidate will manage HR aspects of the team, ensure safety process compliance, and support company initiatives like NERC standards and continuous improvement.
Provides management and supervision related to direct report oversight, guidance, and training in all aspects of daily Plant Operations to meet the requirements of load dispatch to the Energy Management Organization. Ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility power boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment ensuring adherence to all unit/equipment operating parameters and start-up and shut down procedures/practices.
Performs Human Resource Management of direct reports, which includes compliance with established policies, practices, and procedures as well as performance management of direct reports Aligns employee actions with corporate, business unit, and department objectives to promote continuous employee learning, and development while maintaining compliance Provides direct management to the current Entergy Safety Process. Ensures compliance with Corporate Safety standards and approved practices for the protection of all personnel. Ensures the safe isolation/lock-out and restoration of site equipment Provides continuous monitoring of boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment Manages and supports Entergy's core processes, and initiatives which include: Plant Operations Excellence, Commercial Commitment to Excellence, NERC Standard Compliance, Unit Reliability, Surveillance Testing, Operations Transactions Systems, Utility Group Safety Process, Operations Information Systems, Operator Skills Development Process, Environmental Compliance, and the Automated Tagging System Assumes a project management role in designated situations
