This position is responsible for supervision of the Center Scheduling department to include insurance eligibility, authorizations, scheduling and pre-registration. Performing managerial functions including staff leadership, decision making, setting department standards and policy guidelines.
Minimum two years of college education or equivalent related work experience.
Two years experience in billing, collections and/or reimbursement experience in a healthcare environment.
10-key calculator, keyboarding, and use of other office machines such as copier, fax, etc. Knowledge of third-party payers - Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance. Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (oral and written), independent and self-motivate, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and computer skills including some understanding of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
