Tampa Electric Company seeks a Superintendent Generation (SPO) to lead generator operations, ensuring safe, cost-effective performance and compliance with environmental and NERC requirements.
The role requires extensive power plant experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with the Energy Control Center and maintenance teams. It is an on-site position with a 12-hour shift pattern in Florida.

The SPO ensures that equipment conditions are accurately documented and provides input to maintenance for work scheduling and prioritization. The SPO provides input to the Manager of Operations for long and short-term manpower planning and annual budget preparation.

Required: A minimum of a high school education
Preferred: Some formal ongoing management training is desired. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution
Required: Ten (10) years of power plant experience, with experience in operations or in a technical role that supports operations.
OR
Required: Twenty (20) years of relevant power plant experience.
Preferred: Experience supervising covered or craft employees.
Experience in coal fired and combined cycle operation.
