The Town of Danvers welcomes qualified applicants for the part-time position of Activities Assistant in the Danvers Senior Center’s Supportive Day Program. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff. The Activities Assistant assists with the day-to-day operations of the program, including aiding the Program Coordinator in planning and conducting programming, encouraging social interactions, and assisting participants with various daily living skills.
The Town is looking to hire three (3) part-time Activities Assistants to work Monday-Friday, no more than 19.5 hours a week. We are very flexible with schedules. The Town is also looking to fill per-diem positions. Let us know what you are interested in!
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.
Graduation from a high school or trade school, or an equivalent degree is required, with one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training preferred. Prior experience working with an elder or special needs population is preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required. Current CPR & First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain within two (2) months of hire. A favorable Criminal Record Background (CORI) is a condition of hire. Pay rate $15.00 per hour. There are no benefits associated with this position.
