The opportunity

We are currently seeking Support Workers who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful and high-quality support to our consumers.

You will be making a meaningful impact by helping older people to live safely and confidently in their own homes.

The role will involve:

  • Providing in-home care including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, laundry tasks, and other household chores.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and self-medication monitoring.
  • Escorting consumers in community outings, including grocery shopping, social activities, and appointments.

Requirements for the role

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent is essential, with competency in medication assistance highly desirable.
  • Recent experience in community care or aged care through employment or formal caregiving.
  • Experience with technology and ability to using mobile devices for work tasks.
  • Strong understanding of aged care quality standards and safe work practices.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Warm, open approach that builds trust with clients, helping them feel safe and supported.

Other requirements

A current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses). A reliable and registered vehicle and current comprehensive car insurance is essential for this position.

It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.

COVID and Flu Vaccinations are highly recommended.
