Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Support Technician to assist in Surgical Services, cleaning and servicing rooms, restocking supplies, and supporting staff and caregivers with basic patient care tasks on the unit. The role is based in Atlanta, GA, and involves a 9:00 am–5:30 pm schedule with rotating weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned. Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units. Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities. Performs various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• High school diploma,equivalent education (GED),post-secondary educationor (1) oneyearwork experience in a healthcare setting
• Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

• One (1) year of experience in a surgical services or other hospital clinical department.
• Experience as a Support Technician.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

9am-530 pm
