Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Support Technician to assist in Surgical Services. You will clean and service rooms, restock supplies, provide basic patient-care assistance, and support staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The role also includes helping with unit tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety across age groups. Required: high school diploma or GED, post-secondary education or 1 year of work experience; BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, post-secondary education or 1 year of work experience.
• Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: visual color acuity depending on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.
• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.
• Assists staff in Surgical Services as part of an expanded Support Tech role.
