Job summary

Northside Hospital is looking for a dedicated Support Technician to aid Surgical Services by cleaning and servicing rooms, restocking supplies, and supporting patient care activities on the unit. This role contributes to a safe, efficient care environment and supports caregivers with essential tasks on a daily basis.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification; prior healthcare experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or post-secondary education is required.
• One year of work experience in a healthcare-related position is preferred.
• Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.
• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.
• Performs various tasks to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.

REQUIRED

1. High school diploma,equivalent education (GED),post-secondary educationor (1) oneyearwork experience

1. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
