Job summary

The Gardner School of Plymouth is seeking a dedicated Support Teacher to engage children in meaningful learning moments and back up Classroom teachers across shifts.

In a state-of-the-art preschool, you will help maintain routines, safety, and a warm, love-centered environment while participating in ongoing professional development and growth opportunities within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in early childhood settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meets all state-specific licensing and experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in meaningful interactions that support development.
• Support Assistant Teachers during breaks or absences.
• Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and routine.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with teachers and leadership.
• Model a supportive and flexible team-oriented attitude.
• Supervise children and maintain safety standards.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
• Assist in maintaining child-to-staff ratios and completing classroom tasks.
