Job summary

Primrose School of West Allen is hiring a teacher to oversee a group of children in a licensed early childhood program. You will implement the Balanced Learning curriculum with a co-teacher, foster social and cognitive growth, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom.

You will observe health and safety regulations and partner with leadership to provide a supportive, high-quality learning environment that promotes curiosity and skill development for young learners.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to work with a co-teacher and implement lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations pertaining to health, safety and care of children.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions.
• Help children explore the world, improve motor skills and grow their vocabulary.
• Collaborate with the co-teacher to implement the Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Ensure classrooms are fully stocked and support a safe, healthy environment.
