Job summary

The School District Of Osceola County is seeking an ESE paraprofessional to support teachers and implement IEPs for exceptional students at Kissimmee Elementary School in Kissimmee, FL.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED with additional college credits or paraprofessional testing and involves assisting with classroom activities and student movement as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus one of: 60 semester hours, an associate or higher degree, or passing paraprofessional test (464+).
• Additional pay: $500 for 60+ semester hours; $750 for associate or higher degree. These increments are added to base salary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in carrying out individual education plans (IEPs).
• Support students in classroom activities and may help move objects as needed.

Job description

The ESE Classroom Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in carrying out the requirements of individual education plans of exceptional students. Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
